I was the lead programmer and designed all core systems and AI enemies. Some include random block spawning, scoring system, custom grabbing with floppy tentacles, and blocks cleared from the scene. For AI enemies, Sarah (twin pig tails) drops notepads blocking the block holes and Joel sprays ink, obscuring the user’s vision (note the video does not show this, as the ink is present on the stereoscopic layer in VR only).
The objective of Blocktopus is to sort as many blocks as possible in two minutes while dealing with the classmates wandering around impeding the player’s progress.
