I was the unity developer for this short project at Part Time Evil. The client, Molina, asked for a video to kick-off their Annual Sales Conference themed as an 80s arcade game. To create a thrilling scenario accompanying the video, I designed a Tron styled light bike game with a choreographed dance between 3 enemies and the main player. The client didn’t want the player to seem aggressive, so I devised ways to make the player the “good guy”, best shown by two enemies crashing into each other while trying to cut off the player.
To control the direction, I placed assets that turned the bikes when they landed over them and placed oil slicks and coins to slow down and speed up the bikes. The result is a beautiful looking, arrow filled debug scene. In hindsight, I realize using animation curves and the timeline would have been easier to debug and test.
