About ISM
The Independent Study and Mentorship program is a rigorous and engaging class that encourages high school students to build their professional and business skills. It is a research based class where the main focus is for the student to conduct interviews with business professionals, engage in the activities of professionals in the field of their choice, and eventually choose a mentor who they will work with and observe the rest of the program with.

tor was Mr. Skyler Jermyn. He is currently a Lead Mission Designer at Gearbox Software. He studied at the Guildhall at SMU, where he earned a Certificate in Digital Game Development with a Specialization in Level Design in 2010. He has since then worked at Gearbox working as a Senior Designer on titles such as Battleborn and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. His experience also includes being a mission designer/level designer in the award winning hit Borderlands 2. He also has experience as a Mission Lead among the Borderlands 2 DLC Team, which produced Tiny Tina Assault on Dragon Keep. It was his proudest achievement because of how well received the DLC title was. He was also a Level Designer for Aliens: Colonial Marines and Brothers In Arms: Furious 4.
